Flava'd vs The World wrote: Well people were already against it, getting this instead of the third Del Toro pic that Hellboy fans actually wanted.
It also only had one poorly received trailer. If there was anything good to show they would have done it by now.
I'm gonna lower my prediction to $4.5M. Opening weekend?

Re: April 12-14 predictions
1. SHAZAM! - 29.4 MILLION (-45%) 2. LITTLE - 18.34 MILLION (New) 3. HELLBOY - 12.58 MILLION (New) 4. PET SEMATARY - 11.148 MILLION (-54.5%) 5. DUMBO - 9.289 MILLION (-49%) 6. CAPTAIN MARVEL - 7.956 MILLION (-36%) 7. AFTER - 7.759 MILLION (New) 8. US - 6.76 MILLION (-51%) 9. MISSING LINK - 5.767 MILLION (New) 10. BEST OF ENEMIES - 2.3 MILLION (-48%) 11. UNPLANNED - 1.837 MILLION (-44%) 12. FIVE FEET APART - 1.825 MILLION (-49%)
They never should have rebooted Hellboy. Should have let Del Toro finish his trilogy. If it's a major bomb they deserve it.
After is going to have to rely on fans of the book series to buy tickets because Aviron has not been advertising it at all. Could have done in the teens if they actually pushed it. It does have a ton of Facebook likes and ticket sales are good. Plus the book series is big. So it shouldn't completely bomb. But it should have been able to do better than it's likely to do. After not advertising Serenity at all and now this I'm convinced they're just broke.

Ok, I take back what I said about After lol. It's not selling anything for the theaters they put up tickets for yesterday. If it had a better distributor it probably could've pushed 8m+ for the weekend.

This is the angle they should have taken all along, not the funny funny approach.

So about 10 Frat guys came for the IMAX Hellboy. You can buy a lot of beer with that $200, which I suspect they'll need after enduring what amounts to cinematic Charmin.
