I know my OW predictions are high but the trailers are great. Get Out opened to $33m when Jordan Peele was known but his name has grown exponentially now. Plus horror movies are opening much bigger these last few years and trailers sell it as more of a horror/thriller movie than political satire. |

$75/200M sounds about right though it could go higher. It’s not like this is coming out-of-nowhere like Get Out, everybody knows this will be the water cooler movie for a few weeks. It’s going to be a big event. |

Pretty sure there's a thread of this already but *shrug* Think this will open to 70m+ if buzz continues to build. It has all the elements for breakout: follow up to a phenemonen, positive buzz, great trailer, etc. |

I think 70 mil+ with potential to break out and challenge 100. I look back at Black Panther and one of the reasons I was high on it is that it brought out a whole new demographic due to the black audiences, while losing none of the original Marvel demo. White people were more excited about Black Panther than Captain Marvel, which is still doing really well. It was easily going to be a 150 mil+ opener just based on Marvel+marketing alone. But then the miles and away biggest opener for black audiences is how it got to 200. Likewise not only will Us get the black audiences behind it, but white people really like Get Out as well, and all the SJW side of white people are totally on board. I think it has 50 mil+ of "white buzz" even before considering if it's the 2nd biggest opener ever for black audiences |

I don't know about a $100M opening, but $50-$60M still sounds about right honestly. Of course it could go higher, but for now I'm sticking with those numbers. It's going to be HUGE regardless though. |
