What's going wrong with Happy Death Day 2U? The first one was well-liked I thought and Jessica Rothe deserves to be a star yet this one is kind of bombing. Don't get it.

I really liked the first one but this one seems super redundant and that they chose to do over the same day as opposed to doing a new one is a turnoff and makes the first one seem even more useless.

I'll see it but I don't think anyone was really anticipating a follow up.

Yep. I love Rothe but a whole new cast would have been the way to go. Also why not release on a Friday the 13th or during a period that didn’t have 7 new releases in 5 days?

Well, I was highly anticipating a sequel. I wouldn't have cared without Rothe back. I'm so pissed this one is bombing. I really don't feel they pushed the sequel that hard. They could have been advertising it for a long stretch if they didn't have to do the trailer over. Also only around 50% of Halloween prints had the trailer attached. Should have been with every print. That movie was huge. They probably should have pushed it back and they could have had the trailer with Us.
