Miss Bala - 2,000+

Zzz. One of the openers for the week after like the Prodigy should've opened this weekend too.

Miss Bala - 7

Happy I don't have to see this trailer anymore!

Hit me like a tidal wave. Triggered by the aftershock…

Yeah I get the trailer with everything too. I am kind of sick of it but do want to see it and love the Portugal. The Man song so it's not too torturous. Not like Alita or Godzilla.

We may have a weekend without any film over $10m unless Miss Bala overperforms. Upside has potential to be #1 again if Glass takes another big fall.

The original Miss Bala is an incredibly intense and well-shot movie.

But I digress. Obviously this feels set for a soft opening, though being the only new release + presumably having Latino appeal might help.

I also don't understand how Lego Movie, What Men Want and The Prodigy are all released on the same week but the two weeks before it have jack shit

Yeah something should have been this weekend. I would have put The Prodigy here. BUT nobody knew Glass was going to disappoint so it was kind of too late to move anything up once reviews came out for that.

What is They Shall Not Grow Old? All the theaters around me are getting it in 3D.

This is going to be one hell of a dead weekend.

Keeping with recent tradition, my theater is offering a large popcorn and soda for $1 all day Sunday. The game doesn't start until 6:30, so a great offer for early matinees. As usual, though, it comes down to what's playing and I doubt the concession deal attracts people on its own.
