I don’t see it missing 40m with that.

Probably not, but the 5pm start and franchise frontloading don't guarantee it.

Very solid for Spider-Verse, but with those early 5pm starts its definitely going to be somewhat front loaded. Still mid 30's to low 40's is a good range for it and hopefully it opens on the higher end.

Mortal Engines is going to be such an EPIC BOMB though, but we all saw that one coming.

I imagine an audience very similar to Power Rangers going to this? Maybe it's going a bit mainstream though due to reviews.

The moviegoers leaving previews of Spiderverse last night, the best I can describe them is giddy. They loved it. I hope it hits 40M OW.

It was such a dumb idea. Deadpool shouldn't be censored and PG13 unless he gets put in an MCU movie.

I mean that was for Tuesday night shows too. It sold out the 7:00 here on Tuesday. On Fandango it sold 4,004 tickets for Tuesday and 4,163 for Wednesday. With those days added together it was pretty expected. Plus people are finding out what it actually is.

Jesus. I thought surely The Grinch would be hit harder than that by Spider-Man. Expected number for Ralph though.

Magic Mike what is your signature? Looks like something I probably need to see. I feel like I should know (looks familiar).

Grinch is getting that last push Xmas movie box office. Interested in the demographics of Spiderman - not sure how family heavy it is compared to the 13-25 crowd.

Pretty sure it's Assassination Nation.

An $18m start for The Mule is pretty good.

Given the time of year and nature of the older audience, I wouldn't be surprised if it legged out over 100M with and 18M opening. Unless audiences don't like it. It is odd that the studio cancelled preview showings on Thursday night.

Mortal Engines bombing as hard as some of the low budget random fantasy adaptations of the late 2000s (remember Seeker: The Dark is Rising?) is sad. I guess the dystopia young adult genre was a fad.

Also is Peter Jackson's career over? He has no other projects in the pipeline.

Yep that's what it is. One of my favorites from this year, but it's not for everyone.

Creed II has overtaken A Wrinkle in Time and will soon overtake The Equalizer 2 to become the second highest-grossing black movie of 2018.
