If you had to choose, which Pixar movie would you want for a
This is assuming that after Disney drains the pool of animated classics to remake into live action movies, they will take a hard look at Pixar properties.

...none, lol.
But if I had to choose, I believe Brave would be the easiest to translate to live action. With, say, Finding Nemo, it would still essentially be an animated film; it would be computer-generated fish presented atop real ocean footage.

None is not an option. lol
Agree Brave would be easiest. I'd like to see a Wall-E movie by an auteur director.
Toy Story would probably make $1 billion domestic.

I just don't understand Toy Story in a live-action setting. I can't picture it. We...zoom in on toys, and they become real actors dressed as a cowboy and a spaceman?
A live-action Coco could be visually spectacular in Beetlejuice-era-Tim-Burton way.

Ratatouille could work well though. It would be hard to make a live action Wall-E distinctive since its a robot mostly by himself anyway How on earth would you do Inside Out? Good Dinosaur and Cars could resonate better in live action than the originals... Toy Story and Monsters succeeded in large point due to the voice cast. With different actors you lose a major ingredient for its success Coco could definitely work. Up would be quite strange. Incredibles would have to succeed where Fantastic Four movies failed....the family dynamic piece.

I don't particularly want to see any of them happen but think Ratatouille could be good.
Now on the flip side I'd love to see a Hocus Pocus animated film. That might be neat. I know it's not Pixar but it is Disney.

Re: If you had to choose, which Pixar movie would you want f
Well Wall E is just Short Circuit and Brave would be just a red head version of Robin Hood. I Guess Toy Story would be a lot like The Indian in the Cupboard. Cars is basically Herbie on steroids, and you probably couldn't do A Bugs life without animation, otherwise, that's what the discovery channel is for. Monsters is an old movie with Howie Mandel and Fred Savage.
I think if I had to I would pick Ratatouille just because the though of seeing live action rats preparing food and talking seems like the creepiest movie.
I think the biggest issue is the newer reboots are updating 2d Animation. With these, you are going from 3D to 2D with 3D. Also, a lot of the 2D films are based on other, usual much darker source materials, so they have different ways to go.

Re: If you had to choose, which Pixar movie would you want f
God, this would be such a mess. And you can bet there are already Disney executives thinking about it.
The most obvious one would be Up I think. The flying house conceit would be easy to do live action. Coco and Brave would probably be the next least egregious. Incredibles would be doable but it would make it look like another generic superhero movie. Ratatouille I guess could also be done, it would just become something like Garfield or Stuart Little in terms of the look (live action + CGI animal). The rest would be a MESS. Can you imagine a "photo realistic" Finding Nemo? Lmao.

Re: If you had to choose, which Pixar movie would you want f
It would certainly work far less than remaking the 2D toons. The Pixar film animation is so well rendered that the gap between this 3D animation and photo reslistic CGI (i.e. Lion King remake) is quite small. So the demand would not be so great.

Brave, Up and Coco are the only ones that would make even a lick of sense.

Re: If you had to choose, which Pixar movie would you want f
I want to see it go the other direction, like... a barely comprehensible Finding Nemo / WALL-E mashup/remake with minimal dialogue, Salvaldor Dalí-esque visual approach, all paint and disharmonic chording and visuals / narrative so confusing but arousing, everyone turns gay or spontaneously combusts.

Make a R2D2 BB8 C3P0 Love triangle movie, that'll do it.

A live-action Coco could be visually spectacular in Beetlejuice-era-Tim-Burton way. Presumably, everything but the toys will be real. So, real Andy, real bed, real inanimate toys. Woody and Buzz would have to still be computer-generated, much like the lions in the remake of The Lion King, and they would have their motion captured by Andy Serkis, so the film can be really called "live-action".

Haven't you ever seen the Indian in the Cupboard. It's basically a live action Toy Story except the kid brings them to life. I guess they could do it in a way like Christopher Robin. Also I would say the change to Live Action is to give the human actors more to do.
