Although it will lose most of its IMAX screens next week to Grinch, it should still drop under 50% thanks to its outstanding WOM!!! Still, $150M+ total is a given for now assuming it doesn't drop too harshly in the upcoming weekend. Still, with just a $52m budget, it will easily be profitable for FOX. The real winner of the weekend? A STAR IS BORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It lost 500+ theaters; yet, it only dropped 20.9% this weekend against BR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This reminds me of when Gone Girl & The Martian held well against Interstellar and Spectre, respectively! Unless something funky happens today, ASIB will beat Halloween this weekend and I wouldn't be surprised if it beat The Nutcracker next weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $200M domestic gross is now locked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Awesome opening for BR. The buzz for it never seemed as vocal as ASIB, but Queen is obviously more iconic and the marketing pretty was great aswell. I am curious about legs because while I don't think it will beat ASIB's total it could be closer than we think. Fantastic hold for ASIB btw and it will surely get to $200M now. Pretty much expected for Nutcracker and Nobody's Fool though. |

It only has $1 million to go, but it's used a lot of its theater bumps already, and I would imagine most discount cinemas have already had it and won't care to get it back. Might be in for a long one here, unless they just chalk up Nutcracker as a flop already and use some of its 2nd weekend gross for Robin to pass the century mark. |

Aside from what has already been said, Venom's hold this weekend is pretty phenomenal. The film is a crowdpleaser and will probably expand its audience once it leaves theaters. Would not be shocked by a big spike with the next film if it delivers. |
