So Nutcracker didn’t bomb after all.

Great for Rhapsody.

I mean... it has a 120m budget. So it probably won't be profitable for awhile but it may play throughout the holidays.

Wow at BR. Didn't expect that at all.

I'm not sure, they have a huge international following. Even if they only do 150 in that States, I would not be surprised by a 300+ OS performance.

With that kind of budget, Nutcracker will most likely not end up profitable with a 20Mish domestic opening. The next three weeks it faces The Grinch, Fantastic Beasts, and Ralph Breaks the Internet. Each of those is likely to open in the 50-80M range. Nutcracker will be slaughtered.

Combined with Venom another week where moviegoers sorta disregarded Rotten Tomato reviews and pushed films to surpass expectations greatly.

This is a huge win for BR. Combined with Black Panther and ASIB we look like we'll see some big box office runs from Oscar contenders this year not name First Man...

No surprise for BR - you can't discount the anecdotal evidence when it reaches a certain level.

$7M would be more in line for $25M+ no? A Christmas Disney movie should definitely get a 4.0 so they’ll definitely fudge it to about $110M with Ralph and Poppins.

Nevermind it is down to $20M. :funny:

Bohemian estimated at $49M but I bet it hits $50M. Trending movies usually have nice Sunday holds and it shouldn’t be hit too hard by football.

A lot of great holds this weekend. I was wrong about A Star Is Born. It's heading for its best hold yet.

I remember when Puss in Boots had a crazy hold along with the other non horror movies after Halloween. I suppose people return from the horror movies in early November.

I hope The Grinch opens to less than Bohemian Rhapsody. That would be something.

Didn't expect that. Halloween got crushed, though.

A Star is Born having its best drop yet against BR is pretty crazy.

I have a great feeling about $200M now for ASIB!!!

Go Bohemian Rhapsody! I knew it was going to breakout since the first trailer premiered with Deadpool 2!

There is a small chance that ASIB will beat Nutcracker next weekend thanks to The Grinch targeting families.

Nobody's Fool did pretty mediocre.

It did fine; it got an A- Cinemascore and box office mojo says it should get around 14 million for the weekend. Can’t wait to see it this week.

I think I'm going to Nobody's Fool and Nutcracker Sunday. Then Bohemian and Beautiful Boy Tuesday.

While Nobody's Fool did expected it's still a disappointment. When the trailer came out I thought it would do 20+. I think maybe a release date in the Spring would have been best. Perry movies generally do better there.

Rth saying a 19.6m Saturday for Bohemian Rhapsody. Pretty great, over 50m definitely happening.

Too bad exit polling can't include orientation data. One of those rare times a niche market could register a huge impact.

... seriously.

Ticket sales were 51% female. So lesbians were the biggest group to see this?

In what universe was this a niche market? Everyone loves Queen.

Yeah 51% isn't much of a slant. And that would be weird to have to survey that your gay or straight. Or even your race or religion.

Male and female is just fine, and seems pretty split considering it's football season.

Venom - 26.3%

First Man - -53.4%

:funny: Hilarious. Though the audiences are right on this one.
