Bringing back the dead characters not just in a cameo but leads was a bold move that changes everything, I think a non Keanu version would have felt like a DTV sequel. Reminds me of my theory that 300 2 should have just said fuck it and made Leonidas as a ghost the main character, actually you could probably still make that movie now if Snyder is down |

Neo himself obviously never actually died (which is fair, it's not really clear what happens to him in Revolutions, it's not like his actual body is torn apart) and he's in the same goo bubble as he was originally. |
