Re: Friday Numbers
ASIB continues to hold well. If Argo could survive Skyfall and Gone Girl survived Interstellar, I'm sure ASIB won't get affected by Bohemian Rhapsody.

Re: Friday Numbers
A24 did it again - never thought MID90S could do almost $4m...

Re: Friday Numbers
Halloween should hit $32-33m, pretty solid all things considered.

Re: Friday Numbers
Is Mid90s actually really good or just another overhyped vehicle for critics to polish their skills?

Re: Friday Numbers
Bad for all the new releases except Mid90s, which did pretty decent. It may reach $10M total. While it's not a high total, it's still good for the type of film it is and the competition it's been facing.
Halloween dropped a little bigger than expected but it's still headed for a $160-170M total. It will definitely drop over 60% next weekend.
As usual, ASIB continues to hold strong. Even with Bohemian Rhapsody, it will still hold nicely. $200M is on the table.
Venom will hit $200M in a week and a half.
First Man will barely reach $50M, which is a huge disappointment (an even bigger disappointment than Bad Times).

Re: Friday Numbers
Suspiria with the year's highest theater average so far this year. Fairly easy to accomplish in just 2 theaters but I'm glad it can take the title for now. Quote: Amazon opened this in two theaters in advance of its 250 theater release next Friday. So, hey, if The Nutcracker and the Four Realms is sold out… Actually, they are offering select nationwide “previews” on Halloween night if you’re so inclined. That’s good because otherwise, I can’t think of anything out right now that moviegoers would be able to see that would be seasonally-appropriate for Halloween night. Nope… absolutely nothing is coming to me on that score. Oh well, I guess it’s Suspiria or Netflix!
Bad jokes aside, the film earned an expectedly-huge per-theater average, which was arguably the point of this platform release. It nabbed around $58,000 yesterday for a likely $180k weekend. I’m inclined to presume that this very artsy (but again, quite entertaining if you know what you’re getting into) horror flick is fated to be more written about than actually seen. But maybe the moviegoers can surprise me next weekend. Either way, if Suspiria gets anything higher than a D- Cinemascore grade, then Guadagnino will have failed. https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmende ... 4464a03816

If not it's probably one the most solid entry in the genre, it really captures the sport though so it's a very well made film. It's not easy to make skateboarding into a film.
