Aladdin is a little too sandwiched and MD releases have been disappointing for years, so I'd take it out. Wonder Woman 1984 likely maxed out its potential domestically, and I don't see how it could overtake the OS grosses of Thor3 and SpiderMan: HC, especially with LA currencies being on a downhill. |

Aladdin will do HUGE in OS like Harry potter numbers so it should reach the mark even with unfavorable release date. |

I do not see any Chinese film reaching $1 billion worldwide. Wolf Warriors 2, their highest-grossing film of all-time, could only reach $870 million. American movies have made billions before. Seems silly to predict that a Chinese one will make it when one never has before, and when you have completely no idea of the films that will be released. |

Well the market seems to be expanding in terms of local movies each year so the chances of a billion $$ domestic movie happening first in China are higher. nghtvsn just predicts it earlier though I feel this year we will get a $900m domestic movie from China. |

The Chinese market is too unpredictable, mostly because nobody has their finger on the pulse. Your $900m prediction and nghtvsn's $1 billion prediction are based on absolutely nothing besides a punt that the market is growing and so it must happen eventually. |

Mine is also based on that the last two years the record for the highest domestic movie of all time in the market was broken and this year the record would have been broken if two biggest movies of the year didn't clash on the same release date. |

Well pretty much every Disney film with the exception of probably Dumbo and Aladdin should easily cross the mark, but I could also see Bond 25, Wonder Woman 1984 and Jumanji 2 getting there as well. All three might decrease from their predecessors domestically, but I can still see some increases happening OS. |

It's not a prediction at all because there will never be an answer (as it's already taken place). Predictions are for what will happen, not what could have happened in the past. |
