It will help that Lady Gaga is probably the front-runner for Best Actress. Cooper could take actor too. Holiday legs will be super kind to it and then it will pick up steam again with the awards love. I also think it will get repeat viewings. I absolutely feel 200 is guaranteed. How much further it goes though remains to be seen. I can't really see it reaching 350 Million but wouldn't be totally shocked by it either. |

Wow at some of these insane predictions on here lol. I thought $100M would be pretty tough for this, but it looks like most are starting to think it will easily crush that. I guess anything is possible even though there doesn't actually seem to be much hype for it. American Sniper was an EVENT and while this could be BIG I'm expecting something closer to Gone Girl than Sniper which would still be fucking insane for an R-rated musical/drama. |

This isn't coming anywhere near American Sniper (I mean, really?), but $150M+ seems distinctly possible with all the hype and rave reviews being showered on it. Similar numbers to La La Land will probably be in order. |

Thanks Libs for also pointing out your view. I was going crazy with those $200m+ predictions. La la Land is also an apt comparison in terms of how big this can get. LLL had much more hype IMO and was PG-13 critical and awards darling and it ended with $150m total though of course its release pattern was staggered but then it also means that ASIB has a higher chance to not survive that long in the market |

There's no rule that says it's impossible, there just hasn't been a movie quite like it to gross 350m. 150m remains great for any drama, even a best picture winner. With the budget, WB probably isn't invested in marketing it as more than an October release, and like it or not, OW shapes BO in modern Hollywood. |

Yeah no one said that it couldn't cross $300m, any movie can do that. But I still don't know why this is supposed to do so high and my prediction still stands at solid $70m-$80m total. |
