The Grinch won’t gross half what most of you are predicting. No one wants to see this movie. It’s completely unnecessary and you may as well watch the TV special or the Jim Carrey movie.

Question regarding #4 and #5... Are we comparing Johnny English to the FIRST one? Or the 2011 one?

Sorry - just now seeing this. Its predecessor, so Johnny English Reborn.

Have we extended timelines? Because I specifically remember that some of my predictions weren't considered in the past due to timelines. I don't want to start anything but being on the short end of the stick so many times I feel it's unfair.

I'll leave it to KC regardless.

Well I hope mine is considered. I just streamed 30 trailers, predicted and submitted (twice, coz it kicked me out first time)

Not sure about the one above yours as maybe the Nun numbers were out.

Btw, why is the Nun doing so well? I predicted a drop off from Annabelle or the lowest in the franchise and it is gonna make 70% of my prediction on OW...

It's the lack of event movie or horror movie for whole of August even though CRA and Meg were there they came out 3+ weeks back. But the biggest factor is the IT effect, that same crowd is helping it and would continue to do so for a few more years in this spot.

Annabelle 2 increased from the first significantly and had good WOM. The Conjuring franchise is always hot opening weekend, the first Annabelle had just bad WOM. This is probably gonna have garbage legs too, but the opening will probably be big enough to get past 100m regardless.

Will you not except his at all? I'd just penalize him. Not include The Nun.

I don't think it's right to say that Conjuring franchise has been hot OW only. It has been consistent with high-30's to low40's OW but they have consistently good legs for the genre specially when the WoM is good. I think Nun will have a multiplier higher than 2 which for a poor WoM movie in this genre is great
