TDK was such an event. I went to the midnight screening and everything with my high school buddies (who I'm happy to say that I'm still great friends with today).

A decade has passed. Solid film, I think 2 in the trilogy, 3rd overall in the franchise. Couldn't care less about the IMAX re-release

Re: 10 Years Ago Today Feels older to me. Then again I was never on TDK Express. I saw them all at the cinema, but such a lot has happened in my life since then that it feels maybe 20 years old, not ten. Either way, the trilogy holds up. And not just holds up, it grows on me with each viewing. Easy to criticise at the time, but you don't get quality like that often or these days.
