It has some millennials and gen z people, just not close to what marvel has

Cool know that you have agreed upon THAT let's talk about the "anomalies" of TFA and TLJ. $600m is rare even for Nolan.

Yes it is. Look at Interstellar and Dunkirk. I thought the 3D effect has subsided considerably now?

Updated estimate is $14.1m, so likely under $15m.

It was somehow significant that Disney reported that $0.1m for Solo :funny:

Yeah let's talk about recent ones. We are talking about the most recent SW movies. Imagine original SW movie with inflation and 3D and that would answer your query for 10 year old TDK and TDKR without shooting is not a thing

We Millennial love Star Wars. iGen not so much.

Solo is the product of over saturation of Star Wars, unwanted recasting (one of the big successes of MCU is the consistency of its cast) of an iconic character, an unwanted background story, and the gut punch of a controversial Episode VIII.

An important lesson here is that Star Wars needs to be an event spectacle to be successful. Iger Era Disney is too focused on cashing in now and not playing long game. Their live-action remakes will also soon join the Justice League of Flopping.

Could match AOTC weekend and overall performance (albeit non adjusted).

AOTC (2002): $110m 4 day / $302.2m domestic

Don't think it will do that much total with this opening
