Re: The Happytime Murders predictions (08/17/18)
I am leaning towards bomb right now. I don't know if the Judd Apatow/Seth MacFarlane/Seth Rogan type of audience is going to embrace this.

Re: The Happytime Murders predictions (08/17/18)
Well at one point I believe this had potential, but as of right now this is looking to be more of a disappointment by the day. The buzz is nowhere near where it should be and if the studio was confident in the movie's quality we should have gotten some early reviews by now. It's been super quiet on this movie lately.

At this point the question isn't whether this flops but just how low the floor is

Re: The Happytime Murders predictions (08/17/18)
I read that this movie was originally supposed to be a more serious noir and then the studio recognizing that would go nowhere with mainstream audiences, ordered it to be rewritten as an R rated comedy. In retrospect that makes perfect sense. You can tell from the trailer that her partner could've been an intense and dark Robert De Niro like puppet in a different version, but then it has him jizzing all over his office

Pathetic 17% Tuesday increase. Theaters can't wait to shovel this garbage out.
