What is the first movie on this list--
you saw in theatres (if any)? http://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/we ... verage.htmFor me, it is The D Train (no. sixteen), then Men, Women & Children and Green Room. Including only immediate wide releases, it would be The D Train followed by Professor Marston and the Wonder Women and Rules Don't Apply. I saw Saw on the big screen in 2004, but I did not see Lionsgate's celebratory 10th-anniversary re-release. Forgot Lionsgate did this, lol.

I know I definitely remember despising Free Willy 3.
I think I saw Vince Vaughn's road show film.

#56 Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk
Saw that at a screening where they had the audience fill out a detailed form about their thoughts and a small focus group stayed after the film to discuss it with the reps.

I went through the list, and a perhaps obscure one; Black Beauty caught my eye, that was one of the first films I ever saw in the cinema actually, and remember loving it.

I might have seen #40 - Steel, in theaters as a kid, but I know for sure I saw #43 - The Brothers Solomon
Overall I think I've seen eleven or twelve of the 200 in theaters.

Re: What is the first movie on this list--
I think I saw McHale's Navy in 1997 (I was 11) -- that's #183. And then Blindness, #188. (no wonder I was the only person in the theater)
I'm surprised to see Newsies on the list, I thought it was a hit. Judging by how seemingly everyone my age has seen it (except me).
wow, $98 per theater average for a wide release. That means that pretty much everyone who saw Sgt. Stubby in theaters in its opening weekend was the only person in that theater. lol (or more likely, one family went to a showing and the rest of the showings that day were totally empty). wowowow

I mean the evil twin, mario, being fired from a volunteer Christian choir is enough to make anyone think twice about their life. But this? How can you be on a movie forum and never saw an independent film.
