I haven't tracked RPO's China numbers but from what Omni mentioned it doesn't look like $43.6m 3-day number.

Uh?
43.6M was its 2nd weekend (6/8th) while 13.8 was its 3rd (13/15th).

On a related note. Spielberg is the first director to hit 10 billion. RPO will become his 6th biggest film of all time.

It's only the sixth biggest because his career has spanned such a number of years. In terms of magnitude and importance and legacy, RPO will be his 30th biggest. lol

I disageee, it will be a solid lower mid tier, much like Hook in the annals of cinema history

I didn't look up his filmography. Just plucked "30th" out of mid-air. It will be as well remembered as A.I. Artificial Intelligence, not Hook.

Yeah. If WOKJ is still around in 2044, we'll resolve this!

I agree with Algren the cultural impact of RPO is going to be minimal. I think most people will forget it in a few months as just another action movie.

I remember AI way more than Hook. And my impression is AI is better regarded and more talked about than Hook.

I've never seen AI, but Hook was my favorite film as a kid.

A.I. is definitely more well-regarded by cineastes than Hook, but I would say more people talk about Hook. Then again, maybe if Haley Joel Osment voice-acted some fan favorite thing like Rufio did, who knows?

While I am fine with this discussion I think this is clearly subjective the point was that RPO's cultural impact will be minimal. And I believe it will be lower than those two movies.

Come on, nobody talks about either anymore. And it depends where you look to see which is liked the most.

I watched AI the week after 9/11 and there are still scenes in that film they were haunting that I still can't get out of my head. I'm a big fan of the film regardless of the ending.

This movie has been the talk of my office lately, but nothing close to Greatest Showman even

Unless the advent of virtual reality gives it life, I think it's pretty generous to RPO to compare it to Hook in long term relevance

Looks to pass Operation Red Sea. Still a success story for Steven

You couldn't make a more generic title than Operation Red Sea. It sounds like a Dolph Lundgren DTV actioner.
