I play FML. I don't remember ever seeing a thread for it but maybe it was when I didn't play. I'll have been playing for two years beginning of September.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
Rampage selling well off the pace of Pacific Rim: Uprising and in the vicinity of Tomb Raider here. Granted Rampage is a non-sequel with more family appeal, but it's still a bit concerning.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
I remember when there was concern/panic for San Andreas disappointing and it ended up doing well. Also Journey 2 surprising as well. Same actor/director combo here. so far the are 2 for 2.
Who knows tho.

Who knows tho. Good recollection. Might suggest fans of The Rock are in no rush for anything not called Fast & Furious.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
The lack of reviews for Rampage is concerning. It really could use a "certified fresh" boost right now.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
They're out now and its at 48% after 48 reviews (23 Fresh/25 Rotten). Guess it won't get the necessary boost from reviews this weekend.

I'd be 100% okay with Rampage underperforming.

Rampage 5.5% That's nice, although I have to say that Rampage doesn't strike me as the type of film with a lot of pre-demand. Looks like a big walk-up flick to me. I'm not seeing much marketing for it and it's not got a following (ala IW) or critical praise (ala AQP). Plus, it's only Wednesday. Those numbers can pick up in the next 24-48 hours. I still think it can make $35m this weekend.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
That RT numbers are encouraging for Rampage. Its not going to flop and $25m-$30m should happen but its also not showings signs of breakout.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
So it's starting to look like Rampage won't breakout after all. It seems to be way behind where AQP was at this point last week and I don't see that as a positive sign considering this is suppose to be a blockbuster tentpole and it stars The Rock. If it opens under $40M that would be really disappointing, but it wouldn't surprise me anymore considering the weak reviews won't be doing it any favors either and IW is just around the corner.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
Blockbuster tentpole??? It's a video game movie. With the exception of the first Tomb Raider circa 2001, no video game adaptation has ever been a blockbuster tentpole. I know this has the Rock, but... expectations should be kept in line right? $35m opening for this property seems like a big win.

I'd say in, because outside of Black Panther, there's just been no break-out in 4 months.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
1. I'm slow, thanks for the heads up on AQP. 2. I was in for the answer to the poll, but considering point 1, I'm out again (although I thus voted yes)

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
Rampage reviews are definitely going to hurt, especially with Avengers right around the corner.

Rampage was never going to survive Avengers anyway. Though I bet audiences love it.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
Rampage should have crossed Avengers much earlier in ticket sales, signs aren't very good for it.

Why should it? Avengers is the biggest film of the year.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
Yeah Rampage is definitely not breaking out. If MT wasn't proof enough it looks like walk-ups were just as weak. I know it's based off of a video game, but I don't believe it was being sold as a video game movie honestly. I mean I doubt when they got The Rock attached they were only expecting a $30-$35M opening when San Andreas seemed to open to $50M+ out of nowhere almost three years ago, especially since his drawing power is supposedly stronger now.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
I'm still not convinced it won't do 40+ this weekend. We will see where it's at tomorrow. Plus it has family appeal which will help over the weekend.
