Re: April 13-15 Predictions
The reviews have gotten slightly better and they are now slightly better than San Andreas so I don't think this movie is being hurt as much. Its WoM could still be good among families like that for SA.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
I bet most attendees don't know it's based on a game. Most are going because it's the new Dwayne Johnson blockbuster. I know it's April and not July, but if it can't at least match San Andreas, I can't help but think it's been a disappointment. Especially since a few months back I thought this was a shoe-in for a $150m total.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
San Andreas barely crossed $150m and while Rock has a bigger following now, Rampage faces IW very soon so I don't think $150m was going to happen ever though if it opens below $35m then $100m might not happen and that would be very disappointing. My disappointment bar for this movie was initially set at $120m.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
The late release date change for sure hurts Rampage. Also not helping is that its marketing focused too heavily on the macho violent aspects and too little on the story and rapport between the characters. Maybe that narrows its appeal.
Hopefully business picks up on Friday and Saturday.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
I think A Quiet Place will manage a sub-30% drop. It is getting extra marketing push from the media after the breakout OW.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
Rampage's MT number is not all that encouraging. Not blowing away Truth or Dare. It will need some strong walk-ups this weekend.

Jack Black benefited from Jumanji more than anybody.

Sgt. Stubby somehow has over 250K FB likes. Where was it being marketed?

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
My theater advertised it before almost every movie. Jumanji, Showman, Blockers... I can't remember not seeing it advertised before something since the end of December.

Actually looks pretty cute. Like many others who don't see commercials thanks to streaming services, I often wonder where movies like this get exposure.

Would love to see it do solid this weekend.

Re: April 13-15 Predictions
Truth or Dare getting shredded. Expected by credits (currently 16% on RT), but also with a 27% RT audience score and a terrible 4.4 IMDB rating. Weekend IM under 2.0 anyone?
