Re: March 29-April 1 Predictions I wonder how GnD3 will do this time though given the dearth of faith-based movies its sure to decline again. I am still wondering why they went with a third after the steep decline of second. Though I guess these movies are SO CHEAP even $20m would have made a profit.

Re: March 29-April 1 Predictions I’m not seeing much hype for Ready Player One. I would say $50m 3 day would have been the bar for disappointment, but it will struggle to reach that over 5 days. I’d say $7m opening day, $31m 3day, $42m 5 day.

I never thought it would breakout to do $56m 5-day. Its a mash-up of genres with video-game and action fans clubbed with teen-save-the-world like THG sort of championship club, the first one is a very niche group and the second one has been shrinking ever since CF or never sparked outside of HG movies. I think $50m 5-day will be great for RPO.

In that case I will give it $5m for the random opening most won't know about and $33m for the 3 day.
I also predict many older filmmakers will talk about how "Marvel is ruining movies" in the coming month.
