If Thanos plays out the same way ie; Thanos, Collecting infinity Stones pretty easily with just a twist that Marvel will have it's first hero actually die. I don't know if the general public will be all that overly excited about another CGI villiian even with 10 years and 18 film build up. It's still going to blow JL out of the water and have a 200m weekend but I don't think it's going to touch 220m

It's still going to blow JL out of the water and have a 200m weekend but I don't think it's going to touch 220m I'm pretty sure there will be more to it than that. Also, just seeing all these characters together and interacting/fighting along side each other should be more of selling point for general audiences then Thanos anyways. People are way more invested these characters than anyone in the DCEU right now, but that's Warner Bros fault, because they haven't given them enough time to be developed properly, and it doesn't help that the movies outside of WW haven't been that great either.

There is no competition around it unless for some weird reason people consider Rampage competition, and they would be smart to move it at this point. I don't see how this has any negative effect on IW.
