Considering the last two Star Wars trilogies were led by white men, I think it is only fair that this Star Wars mainly stars women and POC. But I’m sure that’s their Intention and not coincidence.

Re: Solo under $100m OW club | Club is CLOSED | #Pray4Us If (I'm not about to prematurely celebrate this club and make a fool of myself lol) Solo fails then I firmly believe it will be down to the factors I outlined in the OP of this thread: franchise fatigue, Han Solo being too caught up in Harrison Ford and not being a vessel character ala Spider Man or Bond, bad release date.
Basically Disney assuming Star Wars can become a Marvel like franchise with multiple independent plots and characters when it has never really been that. Star Wars was always the Skywalker story (and Rogue One had Darth Vader very prominently in the marketing FYI).

Re: Solo under $100m OW club | Is the Force with us? I don't think that franchise fatigue is really a thing. If you unpack it it comes down to how good the movies are (how well-liked they are in their audience).
There's no mass excitement for Solo in large part because the main actor does absolutely nothing to recall Harrison Ford's iconic character. There's also been little in the way of links to the original trilogy shown or hinted at other than the check-boxes of Chewy, Lando, Falcon.

Same range as Justice League With Rogue One's previews-to-OW multiplier it would do $80m. Obviously it will be higher thanks to Memorial Day Weekend Sunday, and the previews could be underestimated, but still. It's gonna be close.
