It is fairly evident that Infinity War will win the summer BO crown. What will be more interesting to determine is what film be the second highest grosser of the summer. The main contenders: Deadpool 2 Solo Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom The Incredibles 2 Who do you back - domestic and international? I'll go with Incredibles 2 for both. |

Jurassic World will take both. Internationally it will not eben be close. It will clean up in Asia. Domestically... Finding Dory increased by 43% over Nemo's original run. That would give The Incredibles 2 $373 million. Now even if it were to increase 50%, that'd put its total at $392 million. I don't think there will not be a second film above $400 million this summer. I also strongly doubt The Incredibles 2 can jump more than 50%. Now looking at Jurassic World 2. It will obviously decrease from its predecessor. I think most fitting comparisons are The Last Jedi, Age of Ultron and, of course, The Lost World. The Lost World decreased 36% from Jurassic Park. Age of Ultron decreased 26% from The Avengers. The Last Jedi will decrease 34% from The Force Awakens. Even the worst of these three decreases puts Jurassic World 2 at $417 million. More likely is a $420-440 million finish. Don't see any of the other three going this high. Frabkly, it is just a huge, huge franchise. Adjusted for inflation even its lowest grosser, the total non-event Jurassic Park III, comes in at $294 million. The other three films adjust to over $450 million each. |

Jurassic World for sure. It would need a steep drop from the first and a massive increase for Incredibles 2 (only challenger) from Part 1 for it to be Incredibles 2. JW 2 - $505, Incredibles - $470-490m Deadpool - $315-325m Solo - $310m (I hope I'm low by $100m) |

I'd say JW2 aswell. As of right now I'm not seeing Incredibles 2 or Deadpool 2 going higher than $350M and Solo might end up barely crossing $300M judging by the weak buzz/reception. I see JW2 ending up around $420-$440M same as Lecter which should be more than enough for second place. |

I think Incredibles will be closer to University than Dory. $103/$350m. Jurassic World is gonna make like $175/$450m. |

It definitely has potential, but they really need to step up the marketing, because so far the trailers have been lackluster IMO. The next trailer should be attached to IW and it needs to be EPIC. |

Revisiting prior to the start of summer. I still think Incredibles 2 will be No.2 of the summer (domestically). Families have been starved of major animated films this year and will flock to this so expect a bigger increase over the first. Plus it comes out 1 week BEFORE Fallen Kingdom which is crucial (still stupid that these two films are a week apart!). Fallen Kingdom should see a sizeable drop from JW - much like JP to TLW - so that would put it in the $400-$420m range which is beatable. |
