For a box-office reference point, my mind goes to the second Pokémon movie in 2000; I suspect a niche audience will turn out, but it will drop rapidly and close with a modest-but-respectable gross. Should turn a nice profit in regard to merchandising.

The kids just recently watched Jimmy Neutron (the 2001 film). I saw parts of it and it looked OK.
Then they devoured three seasons of the TV show which ran in the early 00s - they absolutely loved it. But from what ive seen of the show - its horrendous.
