Rampage should be close to $72m by the time Avengers open and I don't think families will completely abandon it, still thinking 60% drop next weekend which would get it close to $80m by next weekend ($8m weekend). It would need a multiplier of 3.5 from there on to get past $100m mark and it should easily get past $98m mark on its own, so I feel WB will push it past the mark. |

It would easily do 100m without Avengers. But its probably dropping to 8-9 million next weekend, and then it can maybe make another 20m after that. So it will be close. It can probably be pushed. |

So Skyscraper is not doing too well. Looks like it will have a smaller opening week than Hercules at less than $41m, and that film ended with just $72m. I think it goes higher than that but I doubt it makes $80m, let alone $100m. I guess this is #DwayneFatigue at play. The third Dwayne film in 7 months!! And subliminally, in this #MeToo era, it can't be good have a "raper" in the title of your new movie.

It's so weird to look at how many big hits there have been so far this year, then look ahead for the rest and there is maybe 1 more 300M movie and that's it. Nutcracker, Grinch, Fantastic Beasts 2, and Ralph Breaks the Internet all release back-to-back-to-back-to-back, which will limit the potential of all of them. The only one I think has a real shot is Mary Poppins Returns, and that's not a certainty by any means. Then look at next year. Even this far out you can see several monster hits that have 300M potential. Captain Marvel Avengers Aladdin Secret Life of Pets 2 Toy Story 4 Spider-man- Far From Home The Lion King It-Chapter 2 Wonder Woman 1984 Frozen 2 Jumanji 2 Star Wars Episode IX Bold titles are Disney. Jeez. Some might not make it, and others not on the list might overperform. But next year is going to be HUGE. |

So Warner Bros. has given up trying to get Rampage to $100m. It closed on 26th July. Amazing how close it got. |

They did give it multiple final pushes, but it never made enough to get close enough to make a final final final push make sense. They did their best. Who knows, they might re-release it when they next put out a big CGI monster fest and nudge it over. |

Yeah, probably. So Gnomeo and Juliet is still the only film to sit closest to but without reaching $100m. Rampage is 2nd. |

After this current set of movies I think The Nun would be the next contender. CR needs to have a VERY leggy run to get past the mark, not looking good for now. The only movies with breakout potential are Crazy Rich Asians and The Happytime Murders but both of them seem too small at this point. |
