Does The Predator have a chance? Seems more like a $30-$50m grosser but i don't have a gauge on it.

No it doesn't. 2010 film with decent reviews got to $52m, this one has no chance.

Amazing how big of a difference Mamma Mia's weekdays have. The Sequalizer opened slightly higher but is now $11m behind MM2 specially when weekdays are also big for adult skewing movies like the former.

Re: $100+ million movies of 2018
Looking at the comparison between The Equalizer 2 and the first one, I am now convinced it will reach $100m. I wasn't so sure before, but it is ahead of it in total gross and ahead of it in dailies (though weekend the first still wins). It now only needs $9 million and its 26th day in release was $811k. So that's good news! Wonderful retention for Denzel. Would be funny if it comes within a few thousand dollars of the first's gross.

So the Equalizer's sequel equalizes its first gross.

Re: $100+ million movies of 2018
The drops for Sequalizer are so much better than the first (other than second weekend plummet against MI6)plus it has summer weekdays boosting it's total. Otherwise after that second weekend drop things weren't looking very good.

So The Meg, Equaliser 2 and CRA all making it - that makes it 19 so far.
Really pisses me off that Rampage ended where it did.

Re: $100+ million movies of 2018
If WB had waited just a couple weeks later before pulling Rampage, they could have easily included it as a monster film double-feature event with The Meg to have given it the $100 million push.

Yes indeed. Would have been extremely easy to do.

Yeah they waited so long and pushed Rampage so many times it didn't make sense why they pulled it off so soon before Meg's release.

The Sequelizer is taking its sweet time to get past $100m mark. CRA should reach this mark by Saturday I guess.
