Ouch at Ferdinand, lol. I have it opening to twice that. Will exist with SW just fine.

I see Ferdinand doing $20m OW and that should be enough to do $100m+ total with holidays.

TLJ - $205m

LAST JEDI - 207.186 Million
FERDINAND - 13.549 Million

Ferdinand will start smaller but be very, very leggy. Kind of like Yogi Bear, which didn't open against Star Wars, and the last Alvin & The Chipmunks, which opened against The Force Awakens.

Ha, actually I did make a typo but not the one you think. Correction:

Ha! I think that’s your highest prediction for any movie. I’ll take it.

So where's the disappointment line on this? Personally, I think if it opens below 200M and/or finishes below 650M domestic then I would be disappointed. Anything over that is expected or better.

Something like this, though my OW disappointment number is $190m. I just think December's more of a thing for TLJ than it was TFA - the rush factor isn't quite as high, and some people will be fine waiting a week or two in favor of getting holiday stuff done.

My prediction's still 204/702. A pretty flat 25% decrease from TFA.

You're lucky. I hope it expands here next week but even with 800+ theaters it doesn't look good thanks to Star Wars and then the huge crop of wide releases coming in time for Christmas. Any other time that would be enough to open here. Last year La La Land expanded to about that much and we didn't get it until January when it expanded again after the holidays.

Only a 9% Thursday dip for The Greatest Showman, very strong relative to the others.
