Re: Weekend Estimates
Very disappointing opening for JL. Warner Bros is really going to take their time and discuss how to move forward from this, but it's most likely that there won't be anymore team up movies for a while. The WW gross isn't looking too good either. Great opening for Wonder though. It should have some serious legs over the holidays and like some have said I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being a mini Blind Side type hit. Thor took a hard hit, but that's to be expected from JL opening against it. Atleast it's still crossing $300M domestic and $800M WW though.

Thor 3 did get 27% drop but it had a better Saturday increase so I think it will do $95m and while its not bad a 2.44 weekend IM is just OK at best.

Re: Weekend Estimates
I mean from real people. Audiences for instance gave the Is in the 80%s on rotten tomatoes and it's has a B+ Cinemascore. Critics and audiences don't always sync

Re: Weekend Estimates
Yeah, I was insinuating that Sparrow is the only one to claim it has bad WOM and that is based on reviews.

Re: Weekend Estimates
Here we go again. Bad, mixed. Either one, it doesn't matter, you're saying it's negative, hence why you said the Sunday hold won't be achieved with the current WOM. But as DIB said, WOM is good. It's the reviews that are not good, and I think it's those that are fueling your "mixed WoM" opinion. Unless there is another metric you would care to share...

Re: Weekend Estimates
RTH reports JL dropped more than 30 % on Sunday (instead of 26.9 %) and WONDER dropped less than 30 % (instead of 30.3 %)...

Here we go again. Negative is not mixed. This is not a binary system.
