Re: Thursday Numbers
Same multipler as THOR III would translate into $110m opening...

Re: Thursday Numbers
So yeah as DH predicted it can go up to $13m and it did. I don't think this even guarantees $100m OW as of now.

Re: Thursday Numbers
Fri: $40M Sat: $34M Sun: $23M
OW: $97M
Biggest potential upswing will be on Saturday. Don't think it'll match the increases Marvel films have seen, but we'll see.

Re: Thursday Numbers
Yeah Saturday should be the deciding factor for its $100m chances but I think we will know by Friday number if its going to reach that mark.

Re: Thursday Numbers
Unless the film ends up having a solid Thanksgivng week this could end up grossing less than Man of Steel.
Blech.

optimistically, this would lead to a 42m overall Friday, 38m Saturday, and 27m Sunday which would be a 107m weekend. Before the deadline numbers I'm pretty sure this is literally worse than anyone would have predicted.

Re: Thursday Numbers
Imagine if JL has a TWILIGHT sequels like multiplier the total would probably not exceed $225m...

Re: Thursday Numbers
I think JL can hit $43m or so today and a $110m weekend. Of course, much less wouldn't shock me with the way this has fallen apart.

Re: Thursday Numbers
Yeah this is a pretty awful result no matter how you break it down. I never thought this would make less than $20M from previews and it turns out that it is barely that much higher than something like Doctor Strange which is just embarrassing IMO. It's so bad that not even $100M is guranteed and if that happens you can forget about this crossing $300M total. Now, in what reality is a sub $300M gross for a Justice League movie not a complete fucking misfire?

WB got what it deserved. Too bad WW didn't flop too. That one also deserved underwhelming numbers.

Re: Thursday Numbers
DL: In advance ticket sales, Wonder is beating Captain Underpants ($23.9M FSS), Middle School ($6.9M FSS) as well as all the Wimpy Kids movies at the same point in their Fandango cycle (2011’s Rodrick Rules posted the best opening in the Wimpy Kid franchise with $23.8M).
I'm most excited to see if it can open over $20m and have a 5x multiple.
