I haven't read a single review I would categorize as "tremendous". Seriously.

Maybe "it's not perfect" is their way of trying to justify a positive review?

It's not that Marvel (or recent Fox!) superhero movies are flawless. But they're entertaining and charming enough that the plot holes and weak villains are smoothed over by the good vibes and strong character work. See also: Wonder Woman.

Reaction to this is really mixed. I think it might come in lower than MAN OF STEEL.

Can we just restart the DCEU based off of Wonder Woman? That'd be greaaaat...

let's be clear: the majority of MCU films are better than BvS and SS. I'm not trying to make the point that they aren't. I don't even mind a critic calling out the flaws of DCU films too...as long as they recognize the flaws they are calling out exist in the majority of comic book (or really any modern live action blockbuster) today. But the reviews have always read as if DCU films are only guilty of their crimes.

I don't agree that MCU movies are incoherent in terms of being stitched together properly. That is one of the biggest traits that MCU movies have that they are tied together to each other, which is currently becoming a burden for audience expansion.

BvS and SS in particular were just a bunch of "cool" action/set pieces stitched together. I didn't have the problem with MoS and even WW which is why I see they are highly rated with critics.

Flash will probably reboot the series somewhat since they are doing Flashpoint.

I am waiting for that but I don't think it will sit well with audience. Also it already builds the problem that Marvel is facing after 15 movies in the universe of dependency. I am sure there will be a few here and there to completely absorb the films going forward.

In all honestly while I might be coming off somewhat negative towards this film based on everything I'm hearing I still have a feeling I'll like it.

It's going to be a mess, but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying films before. Wonder Woman is the only film in the DCEU I haven't liked, but this sounds like a more lighthearted BvS or MOS, so I can see myself being at least satisfied with it.

If this was fresh, Warner Bros wouldn't be doing everything it could to hide reviews until the last minute.

How quickly we forget the "it's not perfect, but..." early 'good' reviews from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (actual title).

This thing ain't ending up fresh.

to play devil's advocate, most people who enjoyed the film will be more vocal about it.

That's not usually how word of mouth works. It is the opposite. Bad experiences travel faster and wider than good ones.

I think it will fare better than BvS because expectations are already low. But it ending up Fresh would still be a huge coup.

Industry tracking apparently has this at $105-115m opening weekend.

Ouch.

Yeah that is not good at all and what makes it worse is the fact that tracking hasn't really increased at all despite Thor being in it's third week of release. I still have somewhat of a hard to time seeing it go that low, but it's obvious by now that it's not going to live up to it's potential. They really blew their load early with BvS.

Wait what!!!?? I thought tracking was at 142m

$142m is the polling information from RT. Industry tracking is the overall studio tracking and is generally less than usual sources. Regardless it going down a little from $120m to $105m-$115m is not a good sign.

How does it show 44% RT score on The Dark Shape's screengrab? When I check Rotten Tomatoes, there are no reviews in yet.
