Things are moving a bit slowly around here, huh?

American Made - 3,000
Flatliners - 2,200
Battle of the Sexes - 1,100
A Question of Faith - "Wide"
Til Death Do Us Part - "Wide"

Gonna hold off on predicting those last two, but I'm not expecting much from either. Kind of a weak note to end a strong September, but ah well.

American Made - $17.8 million
Flatliners - $9.5 million
Battle of the Sexes - $5.3 million

Kingsman: The Golden Circle -55%
It -40%
Ninjago -42%

ETA: Just realized that those drops from estimates would put Kingsman, It, and American Made all within $1 million of each, with it having the edge. Exciting!

Post Re: September 29-October 1 Predictions
AMERICAN MADE - 15.4 Million
FLATLINERS - 7.3 Million
BATTLE OF THE SEXES - 4 Million

The other two won't do much. The Pure Flix one might do All Saints numbers at best.

American Made - 17
Flatliners - 7
Battle of the Sexes - 4

The month is definitely going to end on a really weak note, but at least Blade Runner is coming out the following week.

Flatliners should be able to hit double digits. The original film is still considered to be held in high-regard for what it is.

So was The Thing but 2011's The Thing only opened to 8.5 Million. I can't see Flatliners faring any better.

The social media footprint is strong, though. 200K+ FB Likes should prevent a bomb.

I don't think it looks very good, but the Flatliners trailer has been playing with everything over the last few months. And it definitely leaves an impact, good or bad, so awareness should be very high.

Based on how it performed here in Oz (with less competition though) I can see American Made doing $20-$22m.

Did they combine it with likes for the original Flatliners? That probably wasn't that high though. That is a promising number of likes.

All I know is Battle of the Sexes is not going to connect with a wide audience. People are tired of this kind of film, a lot of people will perceive it as "Hollywood feminist agenda" (regardless if it is that or not).

Jeepers Creepers 3 is really killing it in my area, and from what I've seen on twitter in a lot of other places as well. Granted it's only opening in like ten theatres here, but there are so many sellouts that they are actually adding showtimes past 10:00 on a Tuesday when school is the very next day. Makes it potential look even more wasted IMO, because with a wide release it probably could have easily been number 1 this weekend.

I saw JC3 tonight. Sold out here and they added another show at 7:00. I hear it's doing very well at most theaters. I hope it makes enough to get a 4th. The storyline for the 4th is the sequel the fans have wanted since the beginning and the end of 3 sets it up for it.

BoTS was supposed to go wide this coming weekend but that definitely can't be happening. It's opening at none of my theaters and they would have gotten it for sure. Such a shame too because it's the only opener I was excited for.

I wonder why they didn't go wide with it? Surely there must have been indicators about the interest level. I definitely would have gone if it opened here.

Reviews for American Made are good. It does have a very poor release date though. Kingsmam moving to Fall screwed it pretty bad.

Tracking in the $12-15m range, which feels too soft.

I don't think American Made will do great with mainstream audience. How is the marketing there, it was released here without much marketing though the WoM was good it didn't do very well.

I was worried Kingsman would drop big because of the mediocre reviews, but The Secret Service actually had worse reviews than I remembered. It was only a 74 on RT and 58 on meta. So there is clearly a break between critical and audience enjoyment of this franchise.

Battle of the Sexes is #5 on MT, no Flatliners.

Not likely given historical studio and theater count data. Agree buzz seems very low, though.

Flatliners looks so bad and I don't think its a concept that will resonate with the current audience.
