The poster, with its weary-unkempt Michael Myers, reminds me a lot of the Zombie films.

More:

than:

Which isn't necessarily a criticism. I just thought the opening salvo of the ad campaign might strike a more retro-nostalgic tone versus gritty.

I'm glad it doesn't, because then it could (especially with Curtis coming back) just be a gimmick, and they already did that with H20. I love the poster, and hope they keep Curtis out of the marketing as much as they can.

This is pretty great and the best HALLOWEEN sequel.

Ugh, tease! This is my most anticipated movie of the year by far. Halloween has always been my favorite franchise. Is there anything you can tell me to hold me over?!

There’s a single take scene where Michael goes door to door murdering unsuspecting people in their homes.

That does sound awesome. I'm pretty hyped for this movie and I also love the poster btw.

Just know that it really does ignore all of the other sequels. Laurie and Michael are not siblings here.

Holy shit! That sounds awesome and super unnerving. Do you remember about how long it was?

God damn I need to see this now. I know you probably can’t confirm but I’ve got to ask: are there any other returning characters beyond Laurie and Michael? I know folks were speculating that Will Patton’s character might be Ben Tramer or something.

Could you describe the general aesthetic/tone? Is it straightforward scary? Is there a notable amount of humor? Does it feel of a piece with the first film?

I'm praying there's no humour.

It’s dark without being oppressive. Kids aren’t safe in it. Aesthetically, its sort of an overcast movie during the day, with golden orange hues at night.

Yes.

No.

"It’s dark without being oppressive. Kids aren’t safe in it" -- that pretty much tells me all I need to know. Sounds excellent, just like the original. I cannot wait.

Would you say that room is left open for continuing stories in this timeline or does it feel completely self contained?

Carpenter claiming that there's not even a first cut yet, let alone test screenings. We know the former is not true because Blum himself mentioned watching the first cut, so my guess is that he's also misinformed about the latter.

We know it's not true because of what TDS said.

It's not just him, plenty of reactions on social media. But my point is that Carpenter was already proven wrong by Blum himself without realizing it. If they're going to deny shit, they need to make sure they're not contradicting each other.

It’s not actually Carpenter. His wife Sandy runs his social media accounts.
