They should rerelease BP every February for 2 weeks :D
Do it for every year until BP2 is released

That won't help either. Its not February that made the movie big.

Hell Yeah! I think that would be awesome, especially if the let Coogler release his Director Cut/Special Edition, Supposedly there is almost 4 hours of footage shot. Some of it would need some CGI work done but I think with what it has made so far and the potential of a re-release it would easily make and additional 20m-30m

It’s higher than the two Disney ones. Those totals take into account multiple re-releases.

Again I don't think people many will be interested in a 4-hour version of the movie specially because it will available in home media by then.

Post Re: Black Panther 650m+ club
Looks like Disney will turn the theater faucet of early for Black Panther so a $700m initial run looks done. :( VOD releases May 8th and Physical Media on May 15th . I thought for sure they would try to keep it going to Father Day Week/Weekend (120 days) Wonder if they are cutting it's legs short for Solo?

Amazing they announced this last night after it appears that Monday will be the first Day it has earned less than 1m ($642,000) after 53 days

Well Jumanji is still making money and it has been on digital media for more than a month now. Yes its run won't be as big after the digital release but they will make more money releasing it earlier in theaters.

Was just looking at that. With the Digital release about a week away and no real push from Disney to see it one last time in theaters. It's going to be real tough to get another 17m+ before the physical release on the 15th. I think it's run ends at around 695m :(

The IW boost is interesting. I thought it didn't have a chance at $700 just a week ago, and now I think it is going to happen. It is getting IW bleed over / double feature bonuses.

That IW boost might be enough for it next weekend as well plus Jumanji still did well for a few weeks after digital release. I think BP will still reach $700m but only if Disney pushes it towards that mark.

Disney will make sure it reaches $700m at its current pace but it won't make much more after that. Its run has been absolutely insane, never saw a 50% drop. If not for WW this would have been the BEST run for a superhero movie and its still a close 2nd IMO.

Is it loosing many theaters this weekend? If that's not the case it should eventually get past the mark. Didn't loose many theaters with digital release.

It was at 1,370 this weekend, DP2 will probably drop it down to around 800 or 900.

IMO next week should look like this-

Mon -77% $119K
Tues +25% $148k
Wed -30% $104k
Thur -5% $100k
Weekend- $1m

So by next Sunday should be within 2.3m. Jumanji WTJ made another 3.4m after the physical release
