Re: July 21-23 Predictions
Dunkirk at 31% on MT, Girls Trip at 11%.
Valerian previews start at 5. Would be embarassing if it didn't hit at least a little over 1m previews...

Re: July 21-23 Predictions
With a 28% theater drop for Wonder Woman, anything less than a 40% drop this weekend would be great.
Who do I blame for the 2.21 aspect ratio for Dunkirk, Nolan or the studio? My theater has digital projection and settings for flat (1.85) and scope (2.39). We also have one PLF screen. We got instructions that it's to play flat, and we have to manually adjust the picture to make it better fit the theater screen. Even when we do that, it still doesn't fit like a normal film. When people go to a giant screen, they want the film to fill the screen. To me that shows either ignorance or disrespect of what theaters and consumers expect.

Re: July 21-23 Predictions
I'd expect a pretty hefty MT number for Dunkirk because of the number of specialty screenings that people want to make sure aren't sold out

Someone told me a guy at their theater was bitching about the movie looking awful and he wanted his money back. Guess this would be why.

Re: July 21-23 Predictions
Very interested in how Dunkirk holds. My audience didn't seem pleased and my friend didn't like it.
