Reminds me of Entourage movie where the Tuesday previews were bigger than Wednesday numbers. So.... 2m opening day for Baywatch? I guess but I wonder why it wasn't reported for Wednesday numbers? Were those special preview screenings for Baywatch on Tuesday? ? What....? The film opened with previews on Wednesday night, $1.25m....

Well coming into the week I was expecting something like $40-50 mil for Baywatch for a 3-day and like $80-90 mil for Pirates. I ended up going with $75 mil for Pirates and $30 mil for Baywatch. Thanks for the comment, though. Much appreciated.

If it follows Entourage's IM it could have done that. But anyways it did a lot better.

I feel like a much, much bigger segment of the Baywatch audience didn't watch the show.

Re: May 25-29 Predictions
I just think Baywatch wasn't frontloaded enough but its surely not expanding its audience. The only difference I see is that Baywatch is a much stronger brand than Entourage.

Re: May 25-29 Predictions
I would say Baywatch the movie is reliant only on people broadly knowing there was a campy show called Baywatch involving boobs, bikinis, muscles, the beach, chase scenes, etc. Whereas the Entourage movie was a more niche example of the TV-to-film transition where it truly functioned as another, super-sized, episode of the series.
