Re: May 25-28 Predictions I think the tracking is going to be wrong on pirates and that it's going to open under 90 million. I'm thinking more like 60 to 80mil. it wouldn't shock me if Baywatch out opened it. I just see another Alice in Wonderland 2 except more successful situation happening. It'll kill overseas but domestically I don't think it's going to do that great.

Re: May 25-28 Predictions Remember Pirates 4 opened to 90m in 4 days. If it were not for Depp's current reputation, we'd be predicting at least 70m for the 3-day each.
I'd wager that people enjoy the Pirates films and they were not going to see them just because they like Johnny Depp. And while I do expect the franchise to continue downward, I think the marketing has been strong enough that the bleeding will not be too bad.
Alice is NOT comparable to Pirates. There is still hope that we'll get a great Pirates film like the first. No one ever had any hope that Alice 2 would be good.

It better hit MT by EOD today(even Alien hit by Monday). Baywatch is also nowhere but Rock will ensure huge walk ins. So I am sticking with 50m ( 5 day).

215m Dom That multi is impossible. Even AWE barely doubled its 4 day gross. This one will be way more frontloaded. Dont forget WW is opening next week.
