I enjoyed it on first viewing but struggled to we rewatch it. I wouldn't be surprised if the lack of novelty factor really hurts this one. I'm thinking 250m may be an achievement now.

Maybe it is telling that I did not rewatch it yet. But I would like to see it again to see if it holds up.

Re: Deadpool 2 predictions
I read an article last night in which a source called Deadpool 2 the Alien 3 of X-Men movies. I'm almost MORE excited to see it now since it sounds like my type of clusterfuck.

The first one sucks. RR is far too much of a try hard

Re: Deadpool 2 predictions
Others have mentioned the novelty factor, I also get the sense that a movie like Deadpool you can only do well once. This is encouraging for Deadpool fans: https://twitter.com/colliderfrosty/stat ... 5028068352

Doesn't the movie come out in like 9 weeks? There's no way it's still testing if the scores are that good.

If the rumors are true that they killed off the girlfriend I'm going to hate it

Re: Deadpool 2 predictions
That seems to be the case. Given that the romance was surprisingly effective in the original, it seems like a dumb move.

Re: Deadpool 2 predictions
Studio should be grateful that they know about this in advance. Delay and reshoot no doubt

Re: Deadpool 2 predictions
Yea this seems like it will have the same handicaps as comedy sequels. Hard to retell a joke that was funny in the moment, and it seems like "we like Ryan Reynolds now" moment has passed

Re: Deadpool 2 predictions
I was wondering about those comparisons to Alien 3 and after reading that spoiler it all makes sense. Honestly, it wouldn't even ruin the movie for me depending on how its handled, but if it is getting all these negative reactions its probably best they fix it in re-shoots while they still have enough time.

Studio should be happy they are learning the public hates the product when they still have time to adjust

Re: Deadpool 2 predictions
I know we're meant to gasp and act like we care, but does anyone truly care about spoilers for a Deadpool sequel? Isn't the appeal all in the jokes and style of the film? It's just a bit of fun, no? I couldn't give a shit about knowing the major plot points. It's hardly Star Wars (not that I care about that either, but I can understand why most do). I wonder if others feel the same.

I guess it's safe to say TJ Miller won't be doing promotion. http://deadline.com/2018/04/t-j-miller- ... 202361644/He's screwed. Even if he goes into rehab tomorrow, he could be looking at actual jail time here.

Christopher Plummer has been recast in his role, last minute reshoots to begin Thursday.

Re: Deadpool 2 predictions
What puts him in danger here is that this is federal. They don’t give a shit that he’s the voice of “Meh” in the acclaimed children’s classic The Emoji Movie.
It’s not LA where every celebrity can basically buy their way out of trouble with the right attorney and crisis management firm.
