Yes, Rough Night is definitely a major contender for question no. 7. There may be larger flops, but I am not sure how many of them, if any, will be in 3,000-plus theatres. A worst-case scenario for Valerian... might save it.

Re: KJ's Summer 2017 Box Office Contest
Diary of a Wimpy kid was in over 3000 theaters, did worse over OW and lost just over 1,000 theaters in week 3? Hopefully nothing is able to hold onto more screens than that.

A worst-case scenario for Valerian... might save it. Even if it's a crap movie, Valerian still screams big screen movie (maybe even 3D big screen) with it's emphasis on visuals. The problem is, STX has never had a film that focused on visuals. Their films usually bomb, even with big stars (The Circle), or great reviews (The Edge of Seventeen). Their only big success was Bad Moms, with low budget horror films making them some money too. I'm not feeling buzz for Valerian, despite a fair amount of advertising. Even so, I can't see it bombing as bad as Rough Night. But yes, there is a chance it it opens wide enough and flops it could beat whatever Rough Nights drop ends up being.

Re: KJ's Summer 2017 Box Office Contest
Highest grossing film to not hit #1 is no longer Baywatch but Captain Underpants and in a couple of days The Mummy.

Re: KJ's Summer 2017 Box Office Contest
Ouch, I have the highest Last Knight prediction. I don't know. I just completely missed the whole, "This is going to wildly drop from the fourth movie" vibe. I thought it was going to draw 85, 90 percent of the same Transformers crowd.
