Post Biggest Opening Days of 2017
Last year's thread: http://worldofkj.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=79396

Last year's biggest opening days:
1. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice - $81,558,505
2. Captain America: Civil War - $75,502,161
3. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - $71,094,394
4. Suicide Squad - $64,893,248
5. Finding Dory - $54,746,405

Biggest opening days of 2017 so far:
1. Beauty and the Beast - $63,777,443
2. Logan - $33,005,352
3. Fifty Shades Darker - $21,444,970
4. Kong: Skull Island - $20,143,072

I was gonna make the poll 3 movies but it's a given The Last Jedi will be on top so I made it 4.

Don't think Homecoming will beat SM3's series high OD.

I think it'll be:
1. Last Jedi
2. Justice League
3. Guardians
4. Beauty

5th place will be between Spider-Man, F8 and Wonder Woman.

Furious 7 did $67m, even with a slight drop I see Fate going to $65m OD

The drop won't be slight. I'd not be surprised with an OD in the high 40's.

The series has been consistently growing and it's legs will fall first than the opening. I don't think audience will be missing Walker that much to avoid this.

I'd be surprised if F8 did over $60m opening day.

Wait till the hype machine picks up. I'm sure it will be fine OD and given the early reaction it seems that the RT score will be good enough.

Sparrow you live in/near this film's target country. America is this franchises second priority now. Hype isn't NEAR what it was for Furious 7 in the states.

Wait I don't think the hype has settled here as well and I don't live near China, compared to you yes but in general NO. BTW Furious 7 did open to $147m in States and don't bring that stupid argument of me not living in States. I don't live in States for predicting most movies and its not like I have never been right or that living in states mean you guys are better judge of hype/predictions.
