Eh, at this point controversy over gay characters "hurts" about as much as MRA controversy. Most people I know, even Trump voters or incredibly Christian people, are completely indifferent to that kind of stuff. The gay "controversy" over BATB was completely limited, and when I saw the film the gayer moments actually got very strong reactions (and I was watching it in a Chicago suburb that is politically purple). It just gives extra publicity to the movie and gives most people a chance to laugh at other people less enlightened than themselves. |

The BATB thing was blown completely out of proportion. I doubt many kids even noticed the 2 or 3 moments, one of which was actually funny. |

We never really get movie billboards in Kansas City, but Slamma Jamma has had a pretty prominent one up for like a month. I have no idea what the movie even is - the billboard just says "Slamma Jamma" and its release date. |
