Re: Mary Poppins Returns 250m+ Club Looks like this could easily end up being one of the most over predicted movies ever. Granted, it should still end up with a respectable total in the end, but sub $200M domestic has be considered a disappointment by Disney considering how well known the brand is and the fact that musicals have been doing insanely well lately.

I think expectations were too high here. With its great increase this weekend, it should make over 200 million. 250 seems unlikely, but still consider this a success. Of course, it isn't doing well overseas, but not sure if anyone thought that was likely outside maybe England.

Re: Mary Poppins Returns 250m+ Club January looks bad right now. Sure Glass will be big, but the rest of the month looks poor. The next kids movie is the Kid who would be King which is a boy film. Mary Poppins and even Aquaman should continue to do well.
