WB has confirmed that James Wan's Aquaman will come out October 5, 2018. So far this is the only DC property confirmed for 2018, although there is a film scheduled for July as well. If this can perform like Antman at least I would say that's a solid result. Under 150m domestic would be bad. |

I really like Jason Momoa. Big fan of Ronan Dex from Stargate, Khal Drogo from GoT, and he was the only thing I liked about the Conan remake. So I hope this is a hit for him. It's a good release date, but this will largely depend on how the character is received in JL. I would agree that Ant-Man should be the low end goal here. |

I think the success of this movie will really depend on how he's received in JL. I mean he looks badass so far, but if JL doesn't impress than ANT-MAN numbers would probably be the best case for it with a somewhat bigger OW. |

I have faith in James Wan, and think an October release will suit this well. Could touch $100 mil OW, and if Wan's history is anything to go by, this will be very well reviewed and have a shot at $300 mil Total. |

I think DC could have maximized their BO potential going the Marvel way rather than the other way around. I consider a bigger event to do solo movies of main AND secondary characters first and testing the waters, and after seeing a mostly positive response, then go out and put them all together in one movie than from the get go having the whole bunch in a movie after only doing movies about their two biggest characters. The real test for DC will be WW, Aquaman and the Flash. I think JL is safe, as it will have Superman and Batman, but what if audiences don't like DCs secondary characters? |

Heard and Momoa in the same film! Oh man. Failure alert! Failure alert! Maybe two poisons will mean gold, but I doubt it. I think this could be the lowest-grossing DC or Marvel superhero film since the MCU began. |
