Re: Power Rangers - Below $50m Club I think Kong will be affected by opening right after Logan, and none of the trailers have set the world afire. Power Rangers seems infinitely more hyped online and in my personal circles. I seem to remember Kong 2005 was divisive with as many not liking it as liking it. Power Rangers seems a little less directly aimed at any of the other films audiences.

Re: Power Rangers - Below $50m Club Power Rangers has so much potential but it NEEDS to move away from Beauty and the Beast. If that were just a $200 m movie that would be one thing. It could benefit from spillover but overall it's looking like a historic type run if it lives up to the hype that is going to squash everything around it.

Re: Power Rangers - Below $50m Club As polling closed this past weekend, 22.4% of those who plan to see it OW noted that the trailer had no (or almost no) impact on their decision to see the film. I would have expected that to be much higher, suggesting that it may be attracting moviegoers who aren't all that familiar with Power Rangers - or certainly weren't hardcore fans. I can't see a bomb coming since the 'no interest' number has declined each of the last 3 weeks.
