Re: KJ's Fall/Winter 2016 Box Office Contest
I'm so glad we didn't predict Billy Lynn as I probably would have predicted around 100 Million . With reviews it's not going to be an Oscar contender and will do pretty poorly. I COULD have seen it being another Unbroken with a different release as general audiences will probably enjoy it much more. But opening the same day as Arrival, a movie that will likely remain with a high 90% score on RT, it's definitely getting overshadowed. Not sure who would go see Billy Lynn over Arrival.

Twitter proves time and time again that it is pointless for gauging movie interest: SolC9 wrote: To prevent everyone having the same answer for "what will be the highest grossing film not predicted in the total gross section", I'm Not Ashamed must be included in the regular predictions.
Twitter I'm Not Ashamed on Sunday 8/8/16 = 570,103 (releases in October) Suicide Squad opening day = 646,724 Fault In Our Stars opening day = 556,552
It looking like a breakout early on.

Re: KJ's Fall/Winter 2016 Box Office Contest
I'm Not Ashamed showed up on the twitter index on BO.com a few months ago and for 2 weeks it had Fault In Our Stars like counts. Then it totally disappeared. It was obviously a faulty search. I don't believe they ever mentioned it either. At the time it was worth bringing up though, because that hasn't really happened before.

Yep - just giving you and Magic Mike a hard time. It was still an interesting one to predict.

I'm Not Ashamed probably got a lot of false hits from the LGBTQ community. The title is dumb and misleading.
