Weekly Ranking for December 18

Rogue One still has a big variance on where it can go, so I'd played it safe by starting out with $500 million for now.

I've downgraded Moana again as well.

Moana, Beasts, Doctor Strange and Sing will probably all end within 10 million of each other. Crazy.

Omni looks like he has the closest chance for the top 5 ever!

Rogue One #1 (Currently #1)

Sing #2 (Currently projected to reach #2 as it will surpass Dr. Strange/Fantastic Beasts/Moana)

Fantastic Beasts #3 (Currently behind Dr. Strange but the holidays look like it will have a chance to beat Dr. Strange afterall)

Moana #4 (Currently behind Dr. Strange by a fair bit. May be at $213 by the end of the long weekend with enough of a push that it doesn't pass Fantastic Beasts but may pass Dr. Strange)

Dr. Strange #5 (Currently #3 but looks to be overtaken by Fantastic Beasts. Moana beating it is a stretch but not impossible if Moana holds well enough to pass Dr. Strange but not enough to catch up to Fantastic Beasts).

Moana will pass both Beasts and Strange. Sing is the toss up, but it appears in Sings favor unfortunately.

I was gonna ask if La La Land would be the first film that the majority of people accurately predicted for "biggest movie not predicted," before realizing that Hidden Figures is actually now a dark horse for that title, a film that no one predicted.

Congrats to Jonathon - a fully deserving victory with 39 movie points scored, which was 6 more than his closest competitor.

Also - I went ahead and made an executive decision to count Passengers crossing $100 million, since it most likely will (will just take forever). It did not affect who got #1 (in fact, it lowered Jonathon's point total).

Congratulations to the winners and ugh I dropped out of Top 10, still the best performance in the game this far.
