For the same reasons Aeon Flux and Catwoman and Supergirl didn't "count" as the first female superhero film. Blade is a vampire movie, not a superhero film. Whether or not he's a comic character is irrelevant because who the hell in the general audience would know that?!
Wonder Woman played as the first huge female led superhero film. Black Panther will follow suit. This isn't that hard to figure out. Though, you thought the Mummy's marketing was brilliant or some shit...

New trailer just dropped and it really amps up the spectacle. I don't see how OS audiences don't take to this unless it really is because of the mostly black cast. This has just as big of a scope as past Marvel films and the level of buzz/excitement is absolutely HUGE on social media. So many non Marvel fans are going to show up for it.
