Meh. Seems like a non-issue to me. Because you're a gay person. But I can see Trump supporters stamping their feet about it ... if they know about it. So far, it doesn't seem to be taking off as a "story", so it might be fine.

I'm hearing the scene really isn't a big deal, though - guess we'll see.

I mean, it's not like it's a kids movie where the main character is explicitly gay and has a romance with someone of the same sex. Lefou basically just dances romantically with a dude.

Guys. Rolling Thunder is a conservative from Kentucky. We've done this already; don't crack on him and turn this into an argument.

Yeah, I'm not looking to argue - just pointing out that some will take issue with the moment and how Disney chooses to handle similar scenarios in the future.

He's simply saying that it bothers him. I don't agree with his view, but I'm not going to rag on him for saying it when he's being respectful. He's hardly trolling gay members of the board and telling them how wrong their life is.

Re: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST *$180 MILLION OW* Club
He's barely even gay in the film. As expected people blew this WAY out of proportion. Just like the two women in Finding Dory weren't necessarily a lesbian couple. There was a gay character in Zootopia though which nobody ever mentioned. Here's all the "gay moment" consists of in Beauty & The Beast: https://www.yahoo.com/movies/all-about- ... 00988.htmlThe character is pretty much no gayer than he was in the animated film or Broadway musical. So Rolling Thunder can be happy parents can still shield their children from the fact that gay people exist.

Re: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST *$180 MILLION OW* Club
I think it's more of a fear that knowledge of homosexuality from a young age could turn children gay, moreso than denying gay people's existence. Which seems unlikely, but while homosexuality has been found to be biologically correlated, the exact cause has not been discovered, so until we can be absolutely 100% sure gayness is 100% biological, I can forgive parents for shielding their kids from it.
If I had kids I would just say that most boys like girls and most girls like boys and that is a beneficial relationship because it bears children. But if they find one day that they think a same sex relationship is what will make them happy, it's up to them to decide.
And to clarify, NO I do not think people choose to be gay, I do not think it's because of one particular environmental factor like an absence of a father, church and religion have not taught me that people are evil for being gay and I do believe that homosexuality is biologically linked. Because I knew all that would come be asked of me if I did not state it.
How come it's okay to be conservative in a Kentucky but not in Pennsylvania, TDS?

Just to be safe better have several kids so hopefully one of them will at least give you grandkids.

Again, I would love my kid regardless of his sexuality and decisions made based upon it.
