Meh. I’ll see it but something just feels off here.

Re: Star Wars - The Last Jedi Predictions
That was not the trailer this film needed.
It's alright, and I'm sure the film won't be a carbon copy of Empire the same way TFA was of a New Hope, but it's hard to get excited considering this follows the mediocre TFA.
And no way does Kylo do in the trailer what they're alluding to. That would just be too obvious.

Trailer is fine. Outlined the story and promised some tense moments. Though it does look a lot like Empire Strikes Back 2.

Re: Star Wars - The Last Jedi Predictions
New trailer is good, but it's more than obvious by now that they aren't going to be able to tap back into that TFA magic. It's still going be MASSIVE though.

Re: Star Wars - The Last Jedi Predictions
Such an average trailer. Nothing stands out. It's a mish-mash of explosions, lasers, space crafts, closeups, and crappy dialogue. The trailer music is also lame as fuck.

Re: Star Wars - The Last Jedi Predictions
I liked the trailer. As someone who tries to avoid most internet spoilers, the trailer gave me enough to keep me excited, and tease where the story may or may not go. This movie is opening over 200M and finishing over 700M. How far above those numbers it goes will depend on reception. I don't think this trailer will turn anyone away. It's just not a home run.

Agreed with SolC0. Its a serviceable trailer that won't turn off general audience.

Re: Star Wars - The Last Jedi Predictions
I'm going with about $720m. That's about a 25% drop in ticket sales from TFA.

Re: Star Wars - The Last Jedi Predictions
The force awakens being so average and bland, combined with rogue one, hasn't helped. This could disappoint big time no doubt. Like 190/600 which is still huge

Re: Star Wars - The Last Jedi Predictions
They have the formula for these films now, so it won't be received poorly by critics. Would be shocked if it made less than $800m.

Re: Star Wars - The Last Jedi Predictions
How many movies have done $800m in the past? Much less two entries in a franchise? I don't think this will have that high level of retention from TFA which basically also worked as an original film.

Looks like crap and will skip.
Did I watch TFA in theatres? Maybe, can't remember.
