They're going wide with Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 2. 1,400+ theaters. That's smart. Would have been stupid to go limited. Will probably open to 8-10 Million I'd think. |

Both openers seem like they could have been decent hits before the marketing teams got ahold of them. Chappie will be big in China at least. |

Too bad Get Hard couldn't have been moved up. I feel like that has potential and the market is in dire need of a mainstream, appealing looking comedy. It's still going to do well at the end of the month, but the second week drop could be pretty significant against Furious 7. |

But if it is well received, it has a different audience from Furious 7. Comedy fans will see it, while action fans will see Furious 7. |
